What motivated you to start your Business?
This idea started with a trip to Jodhpur where I met very poor artisans who were making very beautiful crafts but contrary to their skills and hard work they were struggling for their survival. This deeply penetrated my conscience for the Society and I decided to help these people financially. The next chapter in this journey was a visit to my Aunt where I saw some really beautiful Decorative items which she used to just give away to her neighbors. This time I decided to showcase these talents to the world and to increase the market value of these artisans.
Tell us about your Business
We are basically an e-Commerce Platform who wants to make a difference into Traditional and Modern Handicraft Industry. We want to showcase the talent of rural artisans who always get suppressed by the Middleman. We sell these products through an online platform so that millions of people are able to see these talents. We wish to make the Hobbies of People into Professions.
Tell us what an average day in your life looks like.
Each day starts with new challenges and new ideas. We meet new artisans everyday and get to know about their art which really fascinates me 🙂 We try to implement new ideas to our platform with the help of the team so that the art fascinates the masses.
One particular skill you got right and gave you best results.
I believe that success has no shortcuts and it comes with the price of great hard work. But we also think that Smart Work is also important along with Hard Work.
What have been your biggest challenges in running your Business so far? How did you overcome these challenges?
Just like each and every start up every step gives a new challenge. Breaking the traditional way of buying items and telling the poor artisans about this vast e-Commerce trend was the biggest task. We had to sit for hours just to make them understand this shift of Market. The task continued with the house hold ladies who refused to work and were not confident in us. Generating this trust between artisans is the biggest challenge we are still facing.
Yes we get some amount of reward in the form of collaborations. We just had to strike on the weak point of the artisan who were craving for that right opportunity to earn money and showcase their talents to the world.
What have you found the most effective way to get new clients?
As an e-Commerce platform SEO and SMOs help us to get new clients. Also we get to know that networking starting from personal to business intellectuals is very grateful to get achievement in getting new clients.
What advice do you give to other business owners?
Be clear in your vision and never get pushing yourself to the limits,
How did you keep motivated through difficult times?
My team is my biggest motivation. we are always together through the winning and the losing time and this is what keeps me motivated to work hard.
What are your Marketing, Funding, and Team Building Strategy?
As a budding e-Commerce company our first target is to establish a perfectly shaped running model of our website and a good traffic through different Marketing Techniques before assimilating any investor. We are constantly growing and a lot of people are helping us to make this idea a success.
