About : Santhosh-born and brought up in Bangalore, studied 5 year integrated masters in tourism administration, involved in trekking and rockclimbing from childhood and completed various rock climbing courses from GETHNA, completed technical training course in paintball from tippman sports, Orlando US, associated with youth hostel association of India for the past 5 years and participated In Himalaya treks.
Started fever-pitch holidays on FEB 2012—to redefine day outing for Bangaloreans -started feverpitchbasecamp. Adventure is his passion and now only profession. Having studied Masters degree in tourism from Bangalore are a great value for feverpitchholidays

What motivated you to start your Business?
It all began when i went on an adventure tour across Karnataka to complete my Curriculum task.You must be wondering how can an Adventure tour be a Curriculum task. Well, i was a Travel and Tourism Student and it was just another forced task to complete. when i actually experienced the real ADVENTURE for the first time, as the name Fever Pitch suggests, i was at highest point of excitement. This experience turned out to be a life-changing event as i decided to start Feverpitch holidays to provide better services to all the travelers
Tell us about your Business…
We have developed a unique camping site-Fever pitch base camp Bangalore’s first jungle and adventure camping targeting families, friends and corporate.
Feverpitch basecamp is a one stop destination for adventure, paintball, water sports and team-building activities. Along with this we provide night stays with campfire for a complete new experience staying amidst forest along with your friends is an experience one must relish.
What is a Day in a life of you like?
Pretty simple. I wake up little late as I work till 1 AM in the night. I go to office at 10 AM and work starts.when there is camping, I reach our base camp as early as 6 and make sure things are ready for the day. On a holiday, I usually meet my SEO people to discuss about my website or meet my friends to relax.
One particular skill you got right and gave you best results.
I think you have to really really be alert on the changes that Is happening around you. I think being alert is a great skill and gods grace.:) I am better in it.
What have been your biggest challenges in running your Business so far?
I come from Non-business background. It became very difficult to convince my people and family for starting this project.
How did you overcome these challenges?
You have to stay positive and have firm business plans to convince everyone.
What have you found the most effective way to get new clients?
I think having a good website content( in my case online bookings are more) and social media marketing works well to get new clients.
What advice do you give to other business owners?
I don’t think I am that experienced. However, I would suggest every businessman to have a strong business plan, know your competitors and have faith in your self till you reach a safe zone.
How did you keep motivated through difficult times?
I think by gods grace I have lot of patience. Patience coupled with positive thinking takes me out of difficult situations.
What are your Marketing, Funding and Team Building Strategy?
You need to understand target market to start any sort of marketing. In tourism industry like ours, it becomes more important to give better service as word of mouth becomes a very important tool.
As of now, we have got sufficient funding for this project. There are 2 other projects in pipeline for which a foreign company is ready to invest.
When working together, there must be a sense of oneness. To bring this, we usually have team activities in our campsite for our employees too. It is fun and learning and it works great.
Your Achievements?
I think starting feverpitch basecamp must be my biggest achievement as of now. I have lot of goals and aims and till I do that, I wont be in a position to answer this question.
Whats your favorite quote?
“Fear no one, Respect everyone.” is my mantra always.
Who inspires you?
MY dad inspires me a lot . He has got great patience. My mom has got great business mind. I am blessed to have parents who are so calm , collective and supportive.
Do you have a Business Philosophy?
Yes. Try to chase service and money will come automatically.
