About Sanjay Prasad – Chief Executive & Mentor – is a Serial Entrepreneur with 23+ rich years of experience and various successful ventures from inception to successful acquisition to his credit. He brings to MindSphere 23+ rich years of experience in sales, marketing management and technical leadership in the high tech industry. He also brings to MindSphere his entrepreneurial spirit that drives his desire to build an idea from its inception, help nurture and grow it, to a size that would have impact in the space that it was created to be in. He has Cross-functional process and operations experience and track record in developing and monetizing new businesses. Has strong Customer relationship management expertise with focus on solutions and consultative selling with specialized knowledge of high tech and communications technologies. Over the years he has built strong relationships with leading Telco’s & Enterprises and possess strong communication, influence and team leadership skills. As a CEO / Senior Management Team member in various firms he has the ability to successfully build an idea from its inception till it has emerged and excelled in the space that it was created in.
Before MindSphere, he was the Executive Vice President & Head – Enterprise Infrastructure Solutions & Services (EISS) vertical at Acropetal Technologies Limited plus also Lead Strategic initiatives within the group. He lead a 500+ strong team projected to close as a US $ 20.00 Million Vertical within Acropetal at the end of the current fiscal year (March 2012).
Prior to Acropetal Technologies Limited, He was the Chief Executive Officer at MindRiver Information Technologies Private Limited, an IT Services Firm. He was instrumental in growing MindRiver from a 5 people startup to a 450+ people strong enterprise with revenues of Four Million US Dollars as on March 2011. In April 0f 2011 Sanjay successfully identified and merged MindRiver with Acropetal Technologies Limited by which Acropetal acquired 100% Equity of MindRiver. Shareholder wealth grew approximately 23 times in a span of under Seven years.
Sanjay has a Graduate Honors degree in Commerce from the Bombay University. Sanjay is passionate about culinary arts and carries a strong desire to someday revolutionize the world of fine dining.

What motivated you to start your Business?
Being a Serial Entrepreneur and having had various successful ventures, I have always been deeply interested in Mentoring and Guiding Young Entrepreneurs to help build an idea from its inception, help nurture and grow it, to a size that would have impact in the space that it was created to be in. It was this idea that motivated me to start MindSphere so I could help Start Ups and Emerging Business achieve what they had envisaged to do.

What is a Day in a life of you like?
My philosophy has always been to live each day, as it was the last day you had and thus the day starts with detailed planning so that I can achieve the maximum from that day. Since I mentor various firms it is important to focus on that tasks that we have planned and get them done and thus most of the day goes in detailed sessions with my mentee’s. I do however take time out to unwind which is typically spending time with the family or my pug or just watching some television. I do also if possible try and cook which for me is both fun and also a great stress reliever.

The skill to listen & communicate effectively
What have been your biggest challenges in running your Business so far?
As a Mentor at times the biggest challenge is filtering all the information that one gets from its various Mentees effectively and strategizing to see how best that information can be effectively used to maximize results.
How did you overcome these challenges?
Clear focus on the tasks and goals set for the Mentee firms and detailed understanding of the information at hand and using it to its maximum benefit for the firms I mentor.
What have you found the most effective way to get new clients?
Referrals and Word of Mouth
What advice do you give to other business owners?
Clearly Define your Niche. It is important to be focused on that and project the same effectively. Be structured and process oriented from day one even if you are a single person start up. Understand your strengths and weakness and use them to your benefit. Communicate effectively on all channels of communications available to you. Have a burning desire and hunger to succeed.
How did you keep motivated through difficult times?
The burning desire and hunger to succeed at what I have created is my greatest motivation and it effectively gets me through the most difficult of times. One I have set a goal I will stay focused to ensure that I achieve the same.
What are your Marketing, Funding and Team Building Strategy?
Marketing:
We effectively use Online Digital Marketing as a key strategy to connect with potential customers. Also networking at industry events is another tool we use quite effectively.
Funding:
We are a privately funded organization. Our biggest investment is our pool of intellect that we have created.
Team Building:
The creation of a team of Mentors that would help our customers in ever sphere of their business

My ability to self learn and update my skills and use the same effectively in achievement of my goals.

Who inspires you?
My father has always been my greatest inspiration. He was the one that got me on the road of self-reliance and sustenance. He never sheltered me from the real world and got me ready to take on every challenge that the world would throw at me. It is this early guidance that has helped me succeed in whatever I have set out to do.
