  1. ‘Join the Event’ this news will automatically go to your friends news feed, you don’t have to shout an update telling the same.
  2.  Choose a catchy title and put an awesome photo a ‘grabber’.
  3. Invite only those friend who you think will be really interested in the event, preferably not all.
  4. You can give admin rights to those friends who are interested and ask them to invite their friends.
  5. Allow guests to invite others, upload photos, write on the wall, etc. The reason is that every one of these activities creates news items that go out into their and their friends feeds. This is great viral visibility for you and for them.
  6. Build interaction on the event wall with all those interested in the event. This builds a great visibility for you.
  7. When people RSVP and write on your event wall, go write on their wall to thank them personally.
  8. Put an engaging photo as your event description. Usually faces works great instead of symbols and Logo
  9. Add multiple photos related to event to stimulate curiosity and interest.
  10. Upload video of you personally inviting and communicating what will the event be all about and how excited you are.
  11. If you have created an events landing page then putting social share button is must on your page/blog.
  12. Use Facebook comment plugin on your events landing page.
  13. If you already have some guest coming share about it and give a direct link to your events page to collect their email. Ex:Wow! 200 people already registered for the event have you registered yet?
  14. Create an Ad for your event so that it reaches the people genuinely  interested in the event.
  15. In all your promotional mails put a social share badge and encourage your customers to share and talk about your event.
  16. Promote it on the business page by putting the cover photo as the event banner.
  17. Announce a contest to your fans like Gifts for early-birdregistrations.
  18. Ask questions/shoot quizzes related to the event and make sure your fans are engaged.
  19. Promote live micro events like question and answers by experts on your event page.
  20. Last but not the least never forget to reminder the attendees about the event. Most of the times i have forgotten about and the event and missed it. But make it lest spam-my as possible.

Keep in mind that Facebook is used mostly in an informal way compared to other social network likes Twitter and LinkedIn, so striking a balance’s between personal and professional life on Facebook has become crucial if you want your influential quotient to remain intact.
