Facebook Page New Features- Admin Roles and scheduled Post

Last week Facebook Announced the much awaited features which were in demand from lot of businesses on Facebook. Prior to that it has add promoted-posts.  Remember the frustration of having so many admins, and no control on your business page on Facebook? Then there is an amazing good news for you as the new feature that Facebook launched is allowing you to give five different roles to five different people and have full control on the Page.

Five Admin roles that you can assign on your Facebook Page

  1. Manager – This role you have all the powers which include manage admin roles, send messages and create posts as the Page, create ads, and view insights.
  2. Content Creator –  can edit the Page, send messages and create posts as the Page, create ads, and view insights.
  3. Moderator – can respond to and delete comments on the Page, send messages as the Page, create ads, and view insights.
  4. Advertiser – can create ads and view insights.
  5. Insight Analyst – can view insights.

This a Good news because before all people who are given access to Business page had equal rights and it was leading to a lot of management problems. Before even a person you added as admin had the right to remove you from admin(that dangerous) But now we can have a sigh of relief.

How to Assign Admin Roles on Facebook Page

Go to Edit page on the page admin and on the right side you can see “Admin roles ” when you click that, you can see all the admins of your Business Page. you just have to go to each user and assign a new roles to them depending on their expertise.

To give you a clue – Manager roles can be kept with the Business owner of course. But the second more powerful role of  Content Creator can be given to your social media expert who is specialized in creating APPS, and user driven content on the page. Moderator can a person you have assigned to keep your page interactive, Advertisers roles will be to pull traffic to the page and the Insight Analyst role can be given to your manager/client who want to keep track of the improvement all the time.

Schedule your Post/status update on Facebook Page

This is the second good new feature that Facebook has added. We all were struggling with third party APPs to schedule our post on Facebook and now its solved. you don’t have to login every hour to give a status update, instead what you can do is schedule your posts for the day and Facebook will do the rest. You can schedule up to 6 months in advance and with 15 mins interval. You can also give a past date in which case your post will appear on the timeline immediately. Facebook takes care of the time zone depending on your current time zone.

How to Schedule Post

You can as usual select what you want to share i.e., Status, photo/video or an event. When you add the message you can see a blue clock on the left bottom of the message, when you click on that you can add year, month, day and hour to min’s and click on schedule. Its that simple.

So its a good news to us and bad news to all the third party APPs which was replacing this gap earlier.

Now if you want to edit the post once it is schedule, then all you have to do is to go up to ‘Manage’ and then ‘Use Activity Log’. You’ll see your posts there. You can’t edit a post once you’ve scheduled it but you can alter the time it posts, or you can cancel the post and start over if you need to change it.

All this proves that Facebook is all ears to the problems faced by its users. I am sure with these two great added features you will take complete advantage of it and keep Growing. Any doubt on the same can be asked as comment.
