How to Create An Event on Facebook Page for Startups

Facebook had many features in it which if you know how to market using them efficiently then you can have a rocking business Page on Facebook. Going are the days of cold calling the customers and telling them in about the event and asking for a RSVP. You can do all this plus few more if you know how to use Facebook events for your business

What is Facebook Event

This is a feature which Facebook provides, just like you can add photos to your profile, you can publish any event with the circle of friend you have on Facebook. Facebook Events can be used in so many ways for your business that it can bring in more visibility to your page as well as more customers. How this works is the event can be seen by the friends of friends.

Log in to Facebook using a business account, you can’t invite your friends as a business don’t have friends! However, if you log in to Facebook using a personal account and you are a page (or event) admin, you have the option to invite your friends to your business event. You can make more admins for the event so that they all can invite their friends.

4 Steps to Create Facebook Page

  1. Log in to the Facebook Account and go your business page/’use Facebook as Page’ option which you can select from the extreme top right ‘down arrow’ button on your Facebook Account and select the page for which you want to create the event. You can find events button near to the status bar as shown in the image below, click on it to create your event.Create-FB-Event-Startup-Freak
  2. Fill in the name of the event, place and time and you have options to select whether the invited guest can see other guest, check it if you want to and also if you want to give people permission to post to your events wall, uncheck “Only admins can post to the Event wall”.
  3. You have now created the event page and you have options to add event photo, photo/Video and to Ask question on event wall, next step is to invite your friends or Fans. This can be done by clicking on share button under the event photo or by joining the event and inviting your personal friends too. Once you join the event, your friend will be able to see that you are going for the event. But the event will not be automatically posted to the fans of your page. To let your Fans know about the event you will have to share in on the page’s timeline or create a badge on your page so that it can show in the fans new feeds. You can also ask your friends to share the event so that their friend can get that in their news feeds. Ask your Fans to invite their friends and increasing the chances of your event going viral.
  4.
