‘Dreaming big doesn’t matter if you are not going to achieve it’ Chirag Dodiya of Plorez

This Entrepreneurial Story is about Chirag Dodiya who Founded ‘Plorez’ located in Mumbai, India.

Chirag-DodiyaAbout – This is Chirag from Mumbai, India. 18 years old, currently studying in Management from Mumbai University. He started in IT career around 3 years ago by learning about Internet marketing and SEO online and eventually landed up working with more than 6 clients and 2 jobs in the past 2 years.

When Started: Jan 2013

What motivated you to start your Business?

I started off my career as an Internet Marketer by pretty much selling affiliate products online. After a while I knew that having a website is very important to any business. So I hauled up on Google and started doing research and eventually learned SEO and website development. I started providing Marketing and Development work to some of my local clients and did a couple of jobs too in my part time to develop my skills further.

When I got out of high school in early 2012, I was pretty sure that doing a job was really not my area and it blind folded me into using others brain for doing the work and not applying my own ideas. That was very uncomfortable and also it was making someone else rich. So I came up with this idea of Plorez, to help other young entrepreneurs as myself to take a leap of faith in themselves and start their own business, I just jumped on it and made it a reality. I believe that if you keep thinking than you will just keep thinking and not take any action. So my motto was to take action first.

Tell us about your Business

Plorez was started as a dream and with a vision to help younger generations to achieve their dream. We are encouraging youths to build startups via promoting to pursue entrepreneurship. We started off by launching “Plorez Lab”. Our community blog to share knowledge on entrepreneurship, startups, business and marketing. We have taken several interviews of hardcore entrepreneurs and reviewed many startups.

Recently we have partnered with an event company which organizes youth events and seminars. Pretty soon we are organizing a global youth forum to encourage the youth generation with the help of hardcore speakers and young entrepreneurs.

What is a Day in a life of you like?

My day is pretty much a balancing act between studies and work. As I am a second year management student. Managing the work of Plorez and my other ventures is very exciting but at the same time it gets quite exhausting sometimes.

The Day starts at 6 am – College and studies. It then continues with work whole day till 7pm. There’s a quote “If you don’t enjoy the life then what is the point of working”. Then it’s time to relax and bit, refresh the mind and get creative. My day ends at around 12am.

One particular skill you got right and gave you the best results.

When I started off I knew that blogging has been on the web from the start so I started to test my writing skills as well. When I launched Plorez Lab as a stage to share the knowledge of my past experience which paid me pretty well and many readers appreciated my honest efforts.

One article that I wrote in Plorez lab about top 10 documentaries got around 4000 shares in 4 days and received many positive feedbacks from the readers via social media network which was quite an achievement for me.

What was your biggest challenge in running your Business so far?

When you launch a new startup, the biggest challenge is always about generating exposure and finding ways to connect with the target market and connecting with like minded people. We collaborated with other company for mutual benefit such as to pull our resources together and make it bigger.

How did you overcome these challenges?

To generate the exposure we came up with a platform that will help us to share insights but also will provide a place for all young entrepreneurs to come and give their input via Plorez Lab; which is going pretty well.

What have you found the most effective way to get new clients?

Social Media is a proven way to connect with your customers and I have found it to be one of my top resources to connect with new clients which are living anywhere in the world. A good social media presence is a must in this generation for any business whether it is big or small.

What advice do you give to other business owners?

Well, I would only suggest other business owners to focus on the building relationship with their customers. Profit is a big part of your business but customer relationship should be the priority.

How did you keep motivated through difficult times?

For my daily dose of motivation, I prefer to read the success and entrepreneurship stories published on StartupFreak and other related websites which helps me to know behind the scenes of how they succeeded. On my top list is Secret Entourage which is amazing and publishes the success stories of popular entrepreneurs including Tim Sykes, Neil Patel and many more.

What are your Marketing, Funding and Team Building Strategy?

Plorez is a young startup and is currently produced and managed by one person. We are seemingly connecting with other young entrepreneurs and startups to build our team. The only criteria of joining our team is you have to be passionate about your work. We are currently boot-strapped startup.

For marketing strategy, we have recently partnered with an Entrepreneurship event Management Company named as GenY. We are targeting young entrepreneurs from different colleges and encouraging them to turn their ideas into action.

Your achievements?

Plorez is growing at a very fast pace. We have taken more than 20 interviews and startup reviews in the past months.

What’s your favorite quote?

There is a whole list of amazing quotes that inspires me every single day. But on top of my list is the one below:

“It doesn’t matter what you feel; Wake Up, Dress up, Show up, and Never Give up”

Who inspires you?

My inspiration has always been my family and friends. They have always supported me and encouraged me to do what I want. Out of that, many young entrepreneurs such as Brian Wong, Farhadd Acidwala and others have inspired me to move forward.

Do you have a Business Philosophy?

Turning Ideas into Action. Dreaming big doesn’t matter if you are not going to achieve it.
