About – I m a single founder so far. I did bachelors in Engineering and i have been with small to mid size IT companies for the last 7 years helping them build cutting edge products. and i consult early stage start-ups on technology stack and architecture.

What motivated you to start your Business?
It was all because of pictures. I liked pictures a lot. Though my photography skills are limited i have always made time to watch out for awesome pictures shared by many photographers on the web. So i thought i’ll pursue my passion for both loving pictures and startup together and started Refractify, which brings pictures from Twitter and Instagram together and presents on an awesome wall.
Tell us about your Business.
Refractify is one place where you can see latest pictures shared on social websites like Twitter and Instagram on any topic you like. My vision is to expand the solution to most major social networks and create a platform for people to find and follow awesome pictures on topics they like.
What is a Day in a life of you like?
A typical day would start by thinking of improving a certain aspect of the app or a channel to reach out to people and forgetting most of the other things in life, mostly paying bills, And a late night sleep.
One particular skill you got right and gave you best results.
I believe my observation skills on UX, resulted in people appreciating the work.
What have been your biggest challenges in running your Business so far?
As with many startups by single founders, there are two major challenges i’m working with as of now. Reach out to people to increase the adoption and Build things quickly.
How did you overcome these challenges?
I believe success in the journey of single founder involves better balancing on different needs of a startup. I constantly switch roles and just do what is most needed.
What have you found the most effective way to get new clients?
Getting more users is directly proportional to how satisfied are my current users. I focus mostly on satisfaction part of my current user base.
What advice do you give to other business owners?
I think a mobile first approach would help a lot. so think about mobile first before you start 🙂 and keep it simple.
How did you keep motivated through difficult times?
My love for pictures, i simply love looking at awesome pictures all time.
What are your Marketing, Funding and Team Building Strategy?
As of now i’m self funded and using social web for most of the marketing, and working with people who are as curious about the world as myself to join me to make an awesome team.

I have just updated www.refractify.com to a cool new UI

Who inspires you?
I once read a story where a champion who conquered the world decided to post a flag on the tallest mountain on earth as a symbol of his victories, and after climbing to the peak he saw many flags there and realized that he was neither beginning nor the end. So history inspires me to build future.
Do you have a Business Philosophy?
My philosophy in business is to keep things simple and entertaining for users.
